Let the Children Come to Me

Aug 4, 2019    Pastor Jared Nicastro

We encourage you to listen to the sermon and respond by taking notes and working through the questions below. We believe it's best to talk through your response with others at NMBC! We are so excited to see Christ's church here at New Monmouth grow more in love with Him and one another as we follow Jesus together :)!!!

(Head) 1. What does it look like to "receive the kingdom of God like a child?” (Mark 10:5). Why must we understand our helplessness in order to receive salvation in Christ? (Ephesians 2:8-9).

(Heart) 2. Knowing that God views us as a perfect, loving Father who desires His children to come to Him (Mark 10:14) regardless of whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, how should that affect our attitude towards God & our prayer life?

(Hands) 3. One of the things that was discussed in this past Sunday’s sermon is how the kingdom of God is an upside down kingdom. Look at the following passages of Scripture and consider what it means to have a kingdom mindset, attitude, and lifestyle (Matthew 5:21-48; 20:16; 23:16; 25:40; John 13). What are some examples you can list in your everyday life of what it looks like to practically live for the kingdom of God instead of this present fallen world? What action steps is God calling you to take in order to “seek first the kingdom of God” (Matthew 6:33) in your life & in the life of your family?
